Jetlite AirlinesJet Lite is currently controlled and managed by Jet Airways. On 20th September 1991, Sahara Airlines came into existence with 2 Boeing 737-200 aircrafts in its fleet. Later, on 2nd October 2000, the airline was rebranded as Air Sahara and it grew manifold before commencing into international aviation sector on 22 March 2004 by starting flights between Chennai and Colombo. On 19th January 2006, Jet Airways proposed to take over Air Sahara, but due to disagreements over the offered price, the deal was called off, but later in April 2007 the takeover finally took place and then on 16th April the airlines was renamed as Jet Lite. Jet Lite is famous for its low cost services offered at very affordable and fair prices. Jet Lite runs 110 flights daily and also offers chartered helicopter service and helicopters for aerial photography. After it was converted into a low cost airline, it started providing no-frill flights. Food on-board can be purchased from the cafeteria.Jet Lite flights can be availed at low prices, after merger with Jet Airways the cost of the airline substantially decreased and hence it offers cheap air tickets to all its destinations.

Jet Lite serves many domestic and few international destinations and they are as follows: Nepal and Sri Lanka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Orissa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. |
